At Get The Beat, we are proud to be a family-owned and operated business. Since day one, our goal has been to create dance competitions where dancers, families, teachers and spectators feel genuinely welcomed, respected and inspired.
We believe competitive dance should celebrate talent, creativity and sportsmanship in an environment that is safe, inclusive and enjoyable for all ages. Our events are designed to be family-friendly, with performances and music that can be enjoyed by young children, parents, grandparents and the wider community.
As we continue to expand throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia and now the United States, these values remain at the heart of every event we produce. We ask all studios, choreographers and competitors to help us maintain this positive atmosphere by choosing music, choreography and costumes that are appropriate for a family audience.

Beginner sections
For dancers within 15 months of their first stage solo. Can also repeat the routine in general solos for an extra challenge.
Age at the event
Solo, duo and trio ages are calculated from the first day of the event — closer to a dancer's real age than a generic Jan 1 cut-off.
